What the Law Requires
- Tread depth: legal minimum 1.6mm (most fleets replace at ~3mm for wet grip)
- No dangerous damage: bulges, deep cuts, exposed cords
- Correct load and speed ratings for vehicle and use
- Avoid mixing incompatible constructions across an axle
